Il savait mettre l’assistance entière dans sa poche avec deux notes. Moi, je pouvais faire un chorus de Django joué à trois cents à l’heure, je ne captais même pas l’attention. Lui, une note suffisait. C’était le Maître (...).
Tchan tchou avait une grande sensibilité et une grande technique, surtout à la main droite, c’était une main extraordinaire, qui pouvait faire des triolets et des staccatos de premier ordre.
