Jean-Yves Dubanton est un excellent guitariste. Accompagnateur au demeurant fort demandé, on a déjà pu l’entendre derrière Patrick Saussois (Alma Sinti), Biréli Lagrène (Gipsy Project), Marcel Azzola, Raphaël Faÿs ou Angelo Debarre... (liste non exhaustive...).
Mais il est aussi au sein du très réjouissant duo Laudat & Dubanton un remarquable soliste (fidèle à sa Di Mauro) inspiré et swinguant, doublé d’un étonnant chanteur à la voix de crooner délicieusement désuète...

Jean-Yves Dubanton étudie la guitare classique dès l'âge de six ans pendant une dizaine d'années. Il s'intéresse durant l'adolescence au Rock'n Roll et au Rythm'n Blues puis découvre le jazz en autodidacte. La rencontre de Patrick Saussois au début des années 80 lui ouvre les portes du swing manouche. Il fonde alors le Trio Niglo qui fera les belles heures de l'Auberge du Vieux Pavé à Montceau les Meaux où on l'entendra aux côtés des guitaristes Laurent Bajata, Doudou Cuillerier, Angelo Debarre, Raphaël Faÿs, Moreno, Rodolphe Raffalli, Romane, Patrick Saussois, Dorado Schmitt, Tchavolo Schmitt, Jean-Philippe Watremez, Hono Winterstein ...

Jean-Yves Dubanton studied classical guitar from the age of six for ten years. He became interested in Rock'n Roll and Rythm'n Blues during his adolescence, then discovered jazz on his own. Meeting Patrick Saussois in the early 1980s opened the doors to gypsy swing. He then founded the Niglo Trio which will make the heyday of the Auberge du Vieux Pavé in Montceau les Meaux where he will be heard alongside guitarists Laurent Bajata, Doudou Cuillerier, Angelo Debarre, Raphaël Faÿs, Moreno, Rodolphe Raffalli, Romane, Patrick Saussois, Dorado Schmitt, Tchavolo Schmitt, Jean-Philippe Watremez, Hono Winterstein ...
