Jason Shooster is an American guitarist, composer, and traveler. Having visited over 90 countries on 5 continents, he is constantly inspired by the variety of creative expression the world has to offer. Growing up, he was exposed to the fusion, world, jazz and pop genres, planting the seed of a well-grounded player.
Those roots would grow when, at the age of 15, Jason began listening to and exploring the music of Django Reinhardt – “the father of gypsy jazz”.
Django’s unmatched and spirited playing enthralled Jason and motivated him to inject his own music with similar vigor.
With his understanding and love for the sounds of the past and present, Jason has developed a distinctive playing style.
His latest project, Hot Club de Pai has been recording and performing throughout Asia and Europe since 2017.
