Fils et petit fils d'accordéoniste, Daniel Givone apprend tout jeune la guitare et rapidement "fait les bals", parfois avec son frère qui deviendra par ailleurs batteur professionel (il tournera avec Goldman et Patricia Kaas...).
Attiré par le jazz manouche, il apprend à le jouer. Par la suite, une rencontre avec May Bittel l'incitera à fonder le trio Givone en 1996. L'ensemble sera constitué de Christine Givone, sa femme à la guitare rythmique et de Jean-Claude Givone, son frère qui s'est mis à la basse.
1998 : premier disque, Flamme Gitane.
2000 : En chemin
2003 : Rencontres
Le trio tournera pendant huit ans en France, en Allemagne, en Islande... et même au Japon et au Népal !
En 2005 le groupe se sépare et Daniel Givone forme un nouveau trio avec Anthony Muccio à la guitare et Simon Mary à la basse.
En 2006 parait le disque Gatito avec en invité le cymballiste Mihail Trestian.
Daniel Givone enseigne par ailleurs la guitare et dirige la rubrique "jazz manouche" des cahiers pédagogiques du magazine Guitar Part.
Il est également l'auteur d'une méthode "La guitare Manouche" sortie en novembre 2005 aux éditions J.J Rébillard.

Son and grandson of an accordionist, Daniel Givone learned the guitar at a young age and quickly "made the balls", sometimes with his brother who would also become a professional drummer (he would tour with Goldman and Patricia Kaas ...).
Attracted by gypsy jazz, he learned to play it. Subsequently, a meeting with May Bittel will encourage her to found the Givone trio in 1996. The ensemble will consist of Christine Givone, his wife on the rhythm guitar and Jean-Claude Givone, his brother who started playing the bass.

The trio will tour for eight years in France, Germany, Iceland ... and even Japan and Nepal!
In 2005 the group broke up and Daniel Givone formed a new trio with Anthony Muccio on guitar and Simon Mary on bass.
In 2006, the album Gatito was released with cymballist Mihail Trestian as a guest.
Daniel Givone also teaches the guitar and directs the "gypsy jazz" section of the educational notebooks of Guitar Part magazine.
He is also the author of a method "The Manouche guitar" released in November 2005 by J.J Rébillard editions.
